The development orientation of Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone (South)
Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone (South) was established in October 1992 with a developed area of 24.8 square kilometers up to present. In this part there have been parks like the State-level Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai Photoelectronic Technology Industrial Park and Jiading Business Incubator for Returned Overseas Students etc. set up in succession.
In combination with the new round of develop orientation of Jiading New City and the north part of the Industrial Zone, relying on the existing industrial advantages of the south part, the development orientation is put forth as follows:
Operation orientation: push the urbanization forward with the development of industrialization; upgrade the quality of the industrialization with the development of the urbanization.
Industrial orientation: Push the overall development and construction of Jiading New City with the development of the modern industrial park; introduce high quality population with the development of urbanization.
Supporting orientation: develop service industry integrated with recreation, leisure and shopping functions to meet the fundamental demands of living in the industrial zone, and to better the industrial service functions. Construct a multifunctional South Gate commercial area of modern style, centered at comprehensive commerce with dwelling, business office and business incubator and so forth combined together so as to boost the brand image of the New City, making it the new spotlight in the New City’s construction.
Metropolitan-style industrial park
A metropolitan-style industrial park will be constructed, featuring pollution-free, high technology and low energy consumption within the relatively sophisticated industrial area of the south district to push the industrial concentration effect to a new high.
At present, there have been more than 200 investors from over ten countries and regions attracted to register in the Metropolitan Industrial Park, including manufacturers based on automotive parts and components, like Koito Automotive Lamp, ZF, Braking system, Autoliv etc.; based on refrigerating equipments, like Fujitsu, Carrier and 思科茨曼 etc.; based on photoelectrons like Action Technology, Continental Automotive System, OKE Optical & Glasses, Noritsu etc.; based on semiconductor, like GEM, Simgui, Takaya etc.; based on machinery manufacturing, like Kobe Steel, Sakai Elec., 瑞光 etc.; based on foodstuff, like Yakult, House Foods, Huabao Food etc., all these are worldwide or countrywide top class enterprises and will serve as the industrial backbone for the New City.
During their rapid growing period or production period, these renowned enterprises have attracted a great number of hi-tech equipped professionals, presented a platform for the introduction of numerous high quality population. The Metropolitan Industrial Park will forcefully drive the urbanization process of the New City，and in return, the construction of the New City will promote the industry upgrading of dominant enterprises, in short, industrialization pushes the urbanization process, and in reward urbanization helps elevate the level of industrialization.
